This is the perfect palette for travel as it holds all the esstials in one gorgeous box!

All of the products inside have amazing pigment and well worth the purchase.

Baking! (The makeup kind)

As I'm sure most of you have heard about the new 'baking' technique in the makeup world!
I have to join on with everyone else and say I love it!
I have been doing it for a few months now for days where I actually put more than just my usual work face on!
The technique consists of using your setting powder heavilyon areas such us;
Forehead (centre)
Under the eyes
Under your contour
Or anywhere you place concealer!

This method you leave the powder to 'cook/bake' on your face for 5-10 minutes to really set your makeup in place.
I love to then go and do my eye makeup whilst the power does its magic, once this is set you can take a fluffy brush to dust any access away.
do this on a day when I know my makeup needs to last or I know photos will be taken as it adds a higher coverage to problem areas!

Happy baking!

Mac burgundy times palette

The Mac cosmetics 'burgundy times' pallete is a steal at £30.00 and even better with a Mac Pro discount! Couldn't resist!
Defiantly needs to be on your winter makeup shopping list!

Top 5 Mac lipsticks!

So here is a list of my top favourite Mac cosmetic lipsticks and why! Hope you enjoy x

1: kinda sexy (matte)
This is my everyday nude! I love this because the colour is the perfect your lips but defiantly better colour, good mix of warm pink and cool brown! The formula of this matte too is just creamy and not drying at all, this gets brownie points from me!

2: diva (matte)
This is a very dark burgundy lipstick perfect for dressing up any look! Defiantly a perfect winter colour.

3: Stone (matte)
Stone is the most amazing colour, it is as it sounds, a cool toned brown/grey. Defiantly perfect pared with natural eyes and polish skin!

4: Flat out fabulous (retro matte)
If you like your pinks then this is defiantly for you, this lipstick packs a punch in pigment! Such a gorgeous colour, best bold summer colour.

5: Lady danger (matte)
Red/orange/incredible I think is the best way to describe this colour, this is the definition of a bold lipstick and looks amazing with fresh dewy skin and lots of lashes!

So these are my top 5 Mac lipsticks, unique colours are defiantly my favourite and as you can probably tell the matte formula in the lipsticks are defiantly best suited for me!

Best Brow buys

Top to bottom;
Ardell brow and lash growth accelerator
Loreal brow artist plumper (light)
Mac brow pencil (lingering)
Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow (blonde)
Benefit gimme brow (light/medium)

So these beauties are my top 5 brow products!
As we all know at the moment that brows have become to be very important in the makeup world! The bigger the better!

It took me a few years to figure out how I like to do my brows and I think that putting down the tweezers and picking up a brow gel was my saviour.

I don't know about you but in the mornings I would rather have an extra 5 minutes in bed.. If your like me then a brow gel is defiantly the way forward, just a few strokes through the brow will tidy them up whilst adding colour and volume.

On a day when I have a few more minutes in the morning to do my makeup I defiantly will lean towards my Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade in blonde.
This adds a lot more structure and shape into your brow but one word of advice is to use sparingly, a little goes a long way!
All i use it a stiff angled brush and slowly create hair line strokes whilst lining the end of my brow for a little bit more definition, to finish off I use brow gel through the hairs just to put a bit more texture through to give a more natural look!

Hope this helps!

Happy Sunday x

M.A.C pro longwear

After having many love/hate relationships with MAC foundations in the past especially with studio sculpt(hate) or face and body(love) I decided to try another one!

Whilst looking around a Mac store I spotted the pro longwear concealer stand and knew that I needed to buy it to add to my concealer collection that truthfully, none of them ever ticked all the boxes.
I knew that I needed something a bit more heavy duty to banish my blemishes and hide the evidence of a bad nights sleep, my answer was this! It truly is a high coverage concealer with great lasting power but with a light texture - even though it made my concealer brush so stiff after a few hours of leaving excess product in there so I can see me having to do a make up artists worst nightwear more often - deep cleaning my brushes!

Moving onto the foundation. Once I was by the pro longwear stand I decided that I would get the foundation to test it out from a friends good review, besides being a girl with a Mac Pro card I just can't say no!
The foundation again is really light in texture but really packs pigment and coverage which is exactly what I love! My personal preference is a foundation with a bit of a glow and this doesn't have that, but there is nothing an illuminising primer and a bit of highlighter can't fix.

I did find throughout the day it seemed to get a bit 'cakey' around my nose and on my forehead so I just buffed it out with a blending brush which seemed to do the trick, I defiantly wouldn't add more foundation on top as I could see that getting very messy!

As it got to the end of the evening I couldn't wait to take my makeup off and let my skin breathe, more than usual. So over all the foundation is amazing but I wouldn't choose this for my everyday foundation but defiantly for a night out this would be amazing!

UPDATE #2015

Hello my fellow beauty gurus! I'm back! It has been a little while since I have laid eyes on my blog and I've missed it! I thought I would do a quick update to get me back into the swing of things, I'm now a fully qualified level 3 beauty therapist and make up artist - woohoo! I love my jobs and everything to do with it, there's no doubt about it I'm even more makeup obsessed than I was, worrying I know. I'm hoping to do weekly + posts on everything from lifestyle, makeup, beauty and fitness (yes I'm now a gym gal - even more worrying!) so hopefully I can even help a few with makeup tips and tricks or even just a easy Sunday morning read.
Speak to you all soon!
